Light vehicle training is intended for drivers of pickup trucks, cars and vans.
Courses are one-day in length. Drivers attend 2 hours of lecture and then 5 hours on the track.
Classes are divided into groups of no more than 3. Each group works with an instructor in each of 4 practical modules:
Tight Access Manoeuvring
Emergency Procedures
Skid Recognition, Correction & Avoidance
Hazard Awareness
Driver performance is scored on a Practical Skills Summary form and rated as Safe, Needs Improvement or Unsafe in each of the 4 competencies. For corporate customers, the results and student records are available on-line.
Properly understood and applied, the skills taught at a CTEC course WILL reduce, if not eliminate, motor vehicle incidents!
Courses are booked either corporately or on "open dates".
